Igman d.d. Konjic is a Bosnian ammunition manufacturer with roots going back to 1950, when the plant was established in Konjic during the Yugoslav era. Originally a military and explosives producer, it grew into one of the region's larger small-arms ammunition makers and today exports to military, law enforcement, hunting and sporting customers in dozens of countries. In the U.S., Igman is a familiar name in the affordable brass-cased category — a step up from steel-cased plinking ammo without moving into premium pricing.
What they're known for
The key distinction for American buyers is that Igman loads brass cases with non-corrosive Boxer primers, which means the brass is reloadable — a real advantage over steel-cased imports for shooters who handload. The lineup covers the calibers U.S. shooters use most for training and range work: 9mm Luger, .45 ACP, .223 Remington/5.56 NATO, 7.62x39 and .308 Winchester/7.62x51, generally in full metal jacket loadings aimed at practice and high-volume shooting.
Igman occupies the middle ground: more affordable than top-tier American brass, but with the reloadability and consistency that steel-cased budget ammo can't offer. That combination has made it a popular choice for shooters who want bulk FMJ they can also collect and reuse.
On US-GUNDEALS
Igman sits in the value-to-mid tier — brass-cased, Boxer-primed training and range ammunition rather than match or defensive loads. It is widely carried by U.S. ammunition retailers, often in bulk case quantities. Compare current Igman prices and case counts across the shops listed on US-GUNDEALS.
